Under the transpersonal postulation, mind’s notion is taken away from the confined body-mind paradigm based on J. Breuer (1925) S. and Freud’s (1939) work, and reframed into an extended consciousness reality, with the shaman as the archetypal healer whose capabilities go beyond local time and space. The transpersonal, considers a wider spectrum of states of consciousness and realms beyond the body, that challenges the old-acquired western paradigms on materialism, reductionism, and mind-body perspectives, tilting into the easter sciences of the mind. Under this model, consciousness extends to the ground of all beings, and the healing of one, involves the healing of all.
TC/AT used in my practice, incorporates psycho-spiritual modalities of exploration and maps for life-navigation based on Jungian and shamanic models, integrating metaphor, symbols, dreams and archetypes, to access stored subconscious information and gain new understandings with the intention to provide perspective, meaning and significance into life, beyond the limitations of the personality. In reality, the transpersonal hypothesis is the most antient form of healing, and western societies are just opening the eyes back into it after many years of materialism, obscurantism and religious control.
